Marketing Recruitment Australia Pty Ltd is owned and operated by Philip Brown, a marketer turned specialist headhunter with strong networks of marketing and sales executives...handling Sydney and national roles with an excellent placement record over 20 years. 

 

His "real world" marketing experience covers many years in consumer packaged goods, advertising, QSR (fast food) and tourism.  Combined with his extensive recruitment experience this, results in a greater understanding of clients' requirements as well as deeper insight into candidates' competencies, skills and overall relevance to clients' requirements.  

 

Philip has a relaxed, easy going style, he's a good listener, has a sense of humour, strong ethics and he cares.  Being a specialist "one man band", the number of recruitment assignments at any one time is kept to a manageable limit.  This enables clients to receive higher priority with the satisfaction of knowing that the service to them is paramount.

The process;

Consult closely with the client to understand their business objectives for the role and the team for the short and longer terms.  This includes attention to specialist or general requirements as to skills, personality, experience, competencies, etc.

 

Importantly, the brief should include a summary from the hiring manager of the key challenges or projects the role will need to meet or address within the next year or two. 

  • Develop target lists from networks to identify candidates in the passive and active markets and, where appropriate, general discussions as to relevance
  • Online advertising to complement search.
  • Detailed discussions and interviews with selected candidates about the opportunity as well as assessment of their career objectives, motivations and competencies.
  • Development of the shortlist and presentation to the client.
  • Arrangement of client/candidate interviews and follow-up assessments.
  • Conducting detailed reference checking of candidates and arranging psychometric testing if required.
  • Negotiating an offer and managing the candidate's expectations and acceptance.
